USB-C Breakaway Adapters
Overview
USB-C breakaway adapters provide a convenient and safe way to connect your iPad to various devices and accessories. These adapters are designed to prevent damage to your iPad’s USB-C port and connected devices by detaching when a certain amount of force is applied, similar to how MagSafe connectors work.
Usage Instructions
Connecting the Adapter:
Plug the USB-C breakaway adapter into the USB-C port on your iPad.
Ensure the connection is secure but do not force it.
Connecting Devices:
Attach the other end of the USB-C breakaway adapter to your desired device or accessory (e.g., charger, external monitor, USB-C hub).
The breakaway section should sit between your iPad and the connected device.
Detaching Devices:
To disconnect, simply pull on the device or cable connected to the breakaway adapter. The adapter will detach easily, preventing strain on the iPad’s port.
Troubleshooting
Loose Connection: If the adapter feels loose, ensure it is fully inserted into the USB-C port. If the problem persists, try using another adapter to determine if the issue is with the adapter or the port.
Not Charging/Connecting: Verify that the adapter and connected device are properly seated. Check for any debris in the iPad’s USB-C port or on the adapter’s connectors.
Adapter Not Detaching: Ensure you are pulling directly on the cable or device connected to the adapter, not the adapter itself.
