Please submit a request to the TLE helpdesk requesting the correct firmware for your MagicInfo display.
Prerequisites
1. Firmware File: Download the latest firmware for your display provided by the TLE IT Helpdesk.
2. USB Drive: Use a FAT32-formatted USB drive with a minimum of 4gb of storage space.
3. Remote Control: Ensure you have the remote control for your MagicInfo display.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Prepare the Firmware File
- Download the firmware package (usually in a `.zip` format).
- Extract the `.zip` file on your computer. After extraction, you will find two key files:
- `info` file
- `image` file
- Copy these files directly to the root directory of your FAT32-formatted USB drive (do not place them in a folder).

2. Format the USB Drive (if necessary)
- Ensure your USB drive is formatted as FAT32:
- On Windows: Right-click on the USB drive in File Explorer > Select "Format" > Choose "FAT32" > Click "Start."
- On macOS: Use Disk Utility to format the drive as FAT32.

3. Insert the USB Drive into Your Display
- Plug the USB drive into one of the available USB ports on your MagicInfo display.
4. Access Firmware Update Menu
- Use your remote control and follow these steps:
1. Press the Menu button.
2. Navigate to Support > Software Update.
3. Select Update Now.

5. Initiate Firmware Update
- When prompted, confirm that you want to search for update files on the connected USB device.
- The display will detect the firmware files on the USB drive and begin the installation process.

6. Wait for Installation to Complete
- The update process may take several minutes. Do not turn off or unplug the display during this time.
- Once completed, a confirmation message will appear on-screen.
7. Remove the USB Drive
- Safely remove the USB drive after the update is complete.
Troubleshooting Tips
1. USB Not Recognized:
- Ensure that your USB drive is formatted as FAT32 and contains only the extracted firmware files in its root directory.
2. Firmware Not Detected:
- Verify that you downloaded the correct firmware version for your QBB model.
- Recheck that files were extracted properly and copied correctly to the USB drive.
3. Update Fails:
- Restart both the display and repeat steps above.
- Contact Samsung support if issues persist.
By following these steps, you can efficiently update your Samsung MagicInfo QBB display's firmware via USB, ensuring it operates with enhanced features and improved stability.
